I'm ready to get started. What is the next step?
Thank you so much for requiring my services for your illustration project. Letīs get started!
Do you have a budget and deadline in mind?
Letīs talk about them! Some projects need more time than others, and sometimes budgets do not cover the real price of the amount of work and time it takes. Ideally, we will find a solution for your project so that budget, work and deadline meet, so don`t worry... Also, it may be that my own work schedule is taken up with other projects so knowing your deadline and budget is very important! I like to focus one illustration project at a time so i can give my full dedication to it. I would only ask the client for the same atention until project is complete Email and phone calls for doubts and feedback are more than welcome!
What is your required style for the illustration(s)?
As an illustrator i am capable of delivering different artistic styles. Please take a look at my portafolio in this website or at http://www.flickr.com/photos/giselarourapuig/ for my complete artwork. It is fine to supply illustrations from other illustrators as perhaps composition reference and for general idea, never to copy...
What is the use for the illustration?
This could be print, web, or both. A logo, a book cover... you tell me!
The illustration could be for a specific space on a printed page, or for a designated area on a web page. Sizes for print is normally supplied in centimetres (cm) / millimeters (mm), while sizes for web are given in pixels (px). If the illustration is for print, I will require certain specifications from the printers in order to set up the artwork ready for print. This information would need to be supplied by the client.
Do you know what you want? Shape and colour?
If you have a very clear idea of what you want please let know from the begining. The design could be black/white or colour. For charater design please be as specific as possible unless you would like me to offer you some ideas: Sex, age, nationality...
